I'm a working mom of two beautiful little girls Ava (age 5) and Chloe (8 months). My husband and I both work hard and appreciate that time that we have with the girls. And we enjoy good food. I started cooking in college - experimenting, and trying to re-create all the wonderful foods that my mom had cooked when I was growing up. My husband will tell you that I had a lot of misses, and mess ups. We'll never forget the Thanksgiving in college when we didn't go home to see our families, and instead decided to make stir-fry for our turkey day dinner. It didn't go as planned and we ended up at Whataburger! During the times that I was pregnant I didn't cook much - I couldn't eat much - but that's another story for another time.
Anyway - I've found my way back to the kitchen and have really enjoyed cooking again, especially since I've recently discovered the Farmer's Market - thanks to a coworker.
I try to use as many fresh vegetables and fruits as possible when cooking.
